Shreveport, Louisiana (June 15, 2002) – The O’Reilly SUPR Sprint Car Series travel to Boothill Speedway for the very first time but at the end of the night a very familiar face emerged victories as Butch David claimed his third O’Reilly SUPR Sprint Car feature of the season. David claimed his third victory in the first five races and he extended his point lead over Michael Herrington in the process. The Geismar, Louisiana driver won after starting on the outside front row. David got the jump on Top Qualifier, Glynn LeBlanc and he went on to take the win, holding off a late charge from Herrington in the process. Herrington’s second place finish helped keep him in close contact with David in the point standings trailing by just 46 points going in to next weekend’s race at Jackson Motor Speedway. Glynn LeBlanc held third at the stripe with Terry Vidrine and Harold Henderson rounding out the top 5. Cody Hall from Natchitoches, Louisiana scored an impressive 6th place finish in his first ever run with the O’Reilly SUPR Sprint Car Series.
