Harold Henderson takes 2nd victory of
the season at Many Motorsports Park
Many,
Louisiana (May 3, 2003) – Harold Henderson recorded his first O’Reilly
SUPR victory just two weeks ago and he apparently enjoyed himself so much
he just had to go back for seconds. That’s
just what
Henderson
did as he swept the heat and feature races as the O’Reilly SUPR Sprint
Car Series paid its first visit to Many Motor Speedway.
Henderson
started on the pole and led all 25 laps to take the win.
In the process,
Henderson
has closed to with 14 points of Michael Herrington in the battle for the
2003 title.
Henderson
started the night out by holding off last night’s victor Darrell Hyde in
the heat race. Then in the
feature the pressure increased as
Henderson
also had to contend with current O’Reilly SUPR Sprint Car point leader
Michael Herrington. Michael
Herrington gave chase throughout the feature but was unable to get by
Henderson
on the racy ¼ mile and was forced to settle for second.
Darrell Hyde
continued a solid weekend with a third place finish ahead of Terry Vidrine
who rebounded from a flip while battling for the lead at
Simpson
County
. Defending O’Reilly SUPR
Sprint Car Champ Butch David rounded out the top five ahead Cassidy
Lejeune, Tommy Hall and Glynn LeBlanc.
