O'Reilly SUPR Late Models & Sprint Cars headline the Memorial Day Blowout! Baton Rouge, Louisiana (May 20, 2003) - The O'Reilly SUPR Late Models will headline the Memorial Day Blowout this Sunday Night at Baton Rouge Raceway. This will be the third stop in a big Memorial Day weekend for the O'Reilly SUPR Late Models. The big holiday weekends usually help separate the contenders from the pretenders as three hard nights of racing can lead to a big swing in the point standings. Kenny Merchant will be aiming to continue his hot streak of 4 wins in the first 8 races. Kenny holds a commanding lead of 184 points over David Ashley in the battle for the 2003 O'Reilly SUPR Late Model Championship. Bill Gordon leads the Late Model America/B&K Underground Rookie of the Year battle and he currently resides in 8th place just ahead of Doug Ingalls, the all-time winner with SUPR. The 2003 O'Reilly SUPR Sprint Car Series has seen a marked increase in winners with 4 winners in the first five races. Harold Henderson leads the pack with 2 victories this year. He's followed by Darrell Hyde, a winner for the first time on the O'Reilly SUPR sprint Car tour. Michael Herrington and Kelly Angelette have also recorded victories this year but the one driver yet to do so is defending champion Butch David.
