Herrington started on the pole in the feature and he was in control from the drop of the flag. Herrington did face two major challenges, the first from Michael Dupuy who was charging through the field only to see his night end early with mechanical failure on lap 11 and then the late charge of Terry Vidrine who maneuvered through lapped traffic to close within a car length of Herrington with 4 laps to go. Herrington was up to the challenge and pulled away for the comfortable victory over Vidrine. Defending O’Reilly SUPR Sprint Car Champion Butch David continues in pursuit of his first victory of the season finishing in third place ahead of recent winner Shane Morgan and local favorite Bobby Ingram. Wendell Magnon and Cary Farmer were next with Harold Henderson retiring early due to a power steering failure, Dupuy’s early exit that occurred when the caution waved for Darrell Hyde who suffered a wheel failure. Tank Brashier had an even rougher exit from the race as he flipped his car to bring out the first caution of the race. Brashier’s night ended early but he was okay. Michael Herrington, Jr. made it a clean sweep as he claimed the first heat race of the night with Butch David staking the second heat race victory. Official Results: 1. Michael Herrington, Jr. 2.
