McComb, Mississippi (November 7, 2003) – Garrett Durrett will start on the pole of the 7th Annual Jambalaya 100 after setting fast time in qualifying with a lap of 17.54 seconds around the 3/8th mile Pike County Speedway oval and then topping the first heat race to earn the pole. Durrett held off former SUPR Champion Jay Blair to take the win. He’ll be joined by Mike Boland on the front row as Boland piloted a B&K Underground Rocket to the victory in heat two topping James Ward and Jody Prince to earn the outside pole. Rodney Wing topped heat three over David Ashley and will start third. 2003 O’Reilly SUPR Champion Kenny Merchant will start fourth with Ryan Plaisance and Keith Miller making up row three with heat victories in heats 5 and 6 respectively.
54 O’Reilly SUPR Late Models were on hand. 12 cars were locked in tonight and the remainder of the field will be set in Last Chance action Saturday night before the 100-lap feature hits the track.
