Rob Litton takes control of the competition with Lone Star victory

Kilgore, Texas (June 5, 2004) – With rain clouds threatening in the distance the Lone Star Speedway staff kicked it in to high gear and Rob Litton was all the more grateful as he charged to his first O'Reilly SUPR victory of the season.  Litton took the lead on lap 32 after Ronny Adams tangled with lapped traffic and crashed into the front stretch wall. Adams had led from the drop of the green.

Lone Star Speedway officials moved up the O’Reilly SUPR Late Model feature as a heavy threat of rain once again had the racers hustling to be ready for the feature and ready they were as only two cautions slowed the feature, the first on lap 17 when first time O’Reilly SUPR competitor Aaron McRey slowed on the backstretch and the second on lap 32 when Adams’ night ended abruptly.

Once out front Litton was able to finally find his way into victory circle in 2004.  The win also allowed Litton to stretch his lead in the battle for the 2004 O’Reilly SUPR Late Model Championship.  Litton now leads Doug Ingalls by 219 points in the standings.

Lee Davis finished second in his first night behind the wheel of Bernie Sharp's car formerly driven by Odie Green. Doug Ingalls backed up last week’s victory with a third place finish ahead of the Creel Brothers Excavating Hard Charger Tom Lorenz from Balch Springs , Texas .  B&K Underground Top Qualifier Jeff Chanler finished fifth ahead of Raymond Merrill, Jim Bryant, Allen Tippen, Ray Ingalls and Jay Blair rounded out the top ten.

32 cars on hand with Ronny Adams, Jim Bryant, Doug Ingalls and Allen Tippen taking the heat race wins. Jay Blair and Aaron McRey topped the last chance races.
