SUPR extends its deepest sympathies to the Ashley family 

 

ASHLEY, MAXIE SYLVESTER Former owner of Sylvester's Western Store, she died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at her home. She was 65 and a resident and native of Zachary. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Visiting at Zachary United Methodist Church from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Greg Davis. Burial in Hopewell Memorial Cemetery, Crosby, Miss. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lev David Ashley Sr., Zachary; three daughters, Sharon Mizell, Folsom, Suzonne Ashley, Hammond, and Rhonda Dillon, London; two sons, Lev David Ashley Jr. and Rohn Ashley, both of Zachary; two brothers, Ronnie Sylvester, New Orleans, and Maurice Sylvester Jr., Slidell; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Helen Sylvester. Pallbearers will be Doug Barton, Hoby Dillon, Spencer Mizell, John Mizell, Ronnie Sylvester and Maurice Sylvester. She was a member of United Methodist Women's Club.

Travel Directions:
The funeral home is located on Main Street in Zachary.  Coming from Plank Road, which is where the race track is located, turn left at the first red light past the track, which puts you on Hwy. 64.  Travel all the way through Zachary (past the hospital and Wal-Mart) and continue across Hwy. 19.  Cross the railroad tracks, and the funeral home is about 2 blocks on the left.  Zachary United Methodist Church is across the street from the funeral home.
