Garrett Durrett blisters the competition to earn Jambalaya 100 pole!
McComb, Mississippi (November 12, 2004) – Garrett Durrett set a blistering pace to earn the pole for the 8th Annual Jambalaya 100 at Pike County Speedway. Durrett then pulled away from a strong heat race field to earn the pole position and the B&K Underground Top Qualifier bonus. Ronny Adams got the jump on Durrett and led the first lap but Durrett stormed by and pulled out a big lead with defending race champion Kenny Merchant also working his way by Adams to take the second transfer spot with Adams.
