Tulsa, Oklahoma (January 7, 2005) – The O’Reilly Southern United Professional Racing (SUPR) Late Models released a 32-race schedule for 2005 today.  It’s fitting that the schedule was released in Oklahoma as the O’Reilly Auto Parts-backed series will be returning to Oklahoma for the first time since the 2001 season when the SUPR Late Models join the O’Reilly NCRA Late Models in a challenge race at State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City, the last night of a three state July 4th weekend swing for the SUPR Late Models.

The tour will then visit its sixth state of the season with a return visit to Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama on Saturday night, May 21st.  The month of May will come to an end with a big Memorial Day weekend blowout starting on Friday night May 27th at Lone Star Speedway with a 40-lap $2,000 to win feature, continuing on Saturday night May 28th at Champion Park Speedway for a 50-lapper and concluding on Sunday night May 29th at Baton Rouge Raceway when the O’Reilly SUPR Late Models will face off with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series with another 50-lap feature event.

The month of June will begin with a Saturday night, June 4th return visit to Thunder Valley Speedway before the drivers and crews will get a needed few weekends off after 13-races over a ten week period.  The series will then kick off another hectic stretch of racing beginning with a return visit to I-30 Speedway on June 25th followed by a three-day three state July 4th weekend swing that will begin on Friday night, July 2nd at Boothill Speedway.  The series will then make its only appearance of the year at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas on Saturday night, July 3rd before concluding with the O’Reilly NCRA/SUPR challenge at State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Sunday night, July 4th.

The O’Reilly SUPR Late Models will once again face off with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series at Columbus Speedway for the John L. Cliett Memorial on Saturday night, July 16th.  The SUPR/MSCCS Challenge will add spice to the 59-lap $4,000 to win feature.

The series will then return to the home front with a visit to Thunder Valley Speedway on Saturday night, July 30th before a return visit to the Lone Star State for one of the big traditional races on the O’Reilly SUPR Late Model schedule, the 13th Annual Armadillo Nationals held at Lone Star Speedway on August 5th and 6th.  The 50-lap feature will pay $5,000 to win.
