Ronny Adams masters Boothill once again!

Shreveport, Louisiana (March 19, 2005) – Ronny Adams proved once again that he is the master of Boothill Speedway as he stormed through the field from his last chance transfer position to win his 29th career O’Reilly SUPR victory.  Adams started 17th in the C. Wrights Machine Shop/All Pro Bumper to Bumper/A-1 Auto Salvage Pontiac Grand Prix but wasted little time in working his way to the front of the field showing his mastery of the 3/8th mile high banked oval running top and bottom to move to the lead in just 20 laps.  Adams overtook David Ashley, who held on to second for the fourth race in five starts this season, on lap 21 and pulled away to a sizeable lead.  Adams would only be slowed by two things en route to victory, the first being lapped traffic and the second being rain, just enough rain to finally put a halt to the racing on lap 38.  But by that time Adams had recorded enough laps for the victory to be secured.

The victory was extra special for Ronny and car owner Pat Wright who’s Machine Shop burned down in the off-season.  The team has spent little time working on the race car with all the other pressing needs at hand so the victory proved to be a much needed boost to the moral of the team.

The race started off with B&K Underground Top Qualifier Lee Davis setting the pace at the drop of the green.  Davis would lead the first two laps before spinning out and handing the lead to David Ashley.  Ashley would hold sway over the field through lap 20 before Adams would complete his charge from 17th to first, a run that earned Adams the Creel Brothers Hard Charger award.  Ashley would hold on to second with Kenny Merchant running a solid third ahead of 2004 O’Reilly SUPR Champion Rob Litton.  Lee Davis would recover from his early spin and stormed the high side all the way back to fifth place at the checkers.  Bubba Mullins, Ricky Ingalls, Rusty Cummings, Jeff Chanler and Jason Ingalls rounded out the top ten.

33 O’Reilly SUPR Late Models were on hand.  Kenny Merchant, David Ashley, Ricky Ingalls and Rusty Cummings claimed the heat race victories with Ronny Adams and Brad Looney win the last chance features.
