Dupuy returns to stake his claim on BRR SUPR Sprints!

Baton Rouge, Louisiana (July 3, 2005) – Michael Dupuy hasn’t raced all year but he sure hadn’t forgotten his way around Baton Rouge Raceway where he stormed off to his first O’Reilly SUPR Sprint Car win of the season. Dupuy driving his own Sprint Car dominated the feature outrunning perennial SUPR Sprint winner Michael Herrington for the win. Dupuy rolled to the front right at the start and nothing could stop as the race went 25-laps caution free with Dupuy lapping all but the top five finishers.

Michael Herrington scored another solid finish to strengthen his lead in the battle for the 2005 O’Reilly SUPR Sprint Car Championship. Terry Vidrine, Herrington’s nearest competitor in the race for the title, finished just behind Herrington with Shane Morgan and Harold Henderson rounding out the top five.

15 O’Reilly SUPR Sprint Cars were on hand with Dupuy and Vidrine claiming the heat race wins.
