Ryan Plaisance overcomes a tough week to reach O'Reilly SUPR Victory Lane!

Glenmora, Louisiana (September 4, 2005) – Ryan Plaisance left his home in Westwego, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans over a week ago due to the Hurricane Katrina but while he still doesn’t know the condition of home he’ll at least have some of his insurance deductible covered if needed as he won the O’Reilly SUPR Late Model feature at Thunder Valley Speedway.  Plaisance who has taken off much of the season has returned to race with a vengeance scoring a pair of fifth place finishes and now a victory in just three races this season.

Plaisance running a Bloomquist chassis this year started on the pole with Ray Moore on his outside.  Plaisance and Moore would race side by side lap after lap with Plaisance holding the lead at the line and Moore pulling into the lead in the corners.  While they continued to battle, Lee Davis joined in on the battle to make it a three car battle for the lead.  Davis would finally move by Moore on the outside and then he used the same move to get by Plaisance only to see the caution waving, negating the pass.  Plaisance would need no other help, leading the field to the checkers in the Cajun Motorsports/JL Flooring Chevrolet Monte Carlo Bloomquist chassis.

Ray Moore would retake second with Kenny Merchant moving up to third at the finish with Lee Davis falling back to fourth and Jody Prince rounding out the top five.

22 O’Reilly SUPR Late Models were on hand with Ray Moore, Ryan Plaisance and Lee Davis taking the win.  The starting field was cut by two with Ronny Adams and Tom Lorenz both suffering engine damage in the heat races.  The field was further reduced by a lap one pile up that ended the night for both Doug Ingalls and Adam Willis.
