Rob Litton takes the Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship finale! Fort Worth, TX (March 4, 2006) – Rob Litton made the early move to the front pay off as he won the 2006 Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway. Litton, the 2004 O’Reilly SUPR Champion had to use all of his Wall2Wall spec motor to hold a pair of hard charging open motors with Ken Schrader charging from 20th to finish second ahead of last night’s winner Garrett Durrett who used a provisional to start 21st and followed Schrader’s lead in moving to the front with a fast closing third.
Justin Ingalls, driving his grandfather Ray’s Lazy 8 started on the pole and led the first three laps before his father Doug, who started eight took over the front for the next four laps before Litton was able to power by for the lead. Litton soon had company as Schrader had climbed to third by lap six and was in second by lap 15. Schrader continued to run a strong pace but Litton was able to Schrader at a safe distance in the middle stages of the race. Durrett arrived in third by lap 21 and while lapped traffic closed the top three up Litton was able to pull away for the big win.
49 O’Reilly SUPR Late Models were on hand. Ronny Adams, Heath Oestricher, Brock Williams, Patrik Daniel and Kyle Berck topped the heat races with Keith Craft and Charles Randolph topping the last chance races.
