Flash! - O'Reilly SUPR vs. MSCCS at Whynot Motorsports Park
added to schedule on Friday night, June 9th!

Baton Rouge, Louisiana (June 4, 2006) - The O'Reilly SUPR Late Models have announced an addition to the 2006 racing schedule with the newly re-opened Whynot Motorsports Park joining the tour this Friday night, June 9th.  Whynot Motorsports Park reopened in 2006 with 2002 O'Reilly SUPR Champion Rodney Wing at the helm.  Wing purchased the track earlier this year and returned dirt track racing excitement to Meridian, Mississippi after closure last year of Queen City Speedway.  Whynot has a long racing history but has sat dormant for several years before Wing's purchase.

The June 9th show will be a MasterVac Gulf South regional event and will see the O'Reilly SUPR Late Models going head-to-head with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series.  The race will be run with Hoosier 55/1600 or American Racer 56's on the rear and open tires up front.  The format will see the top 8 cars locked in to the feature via qualifying and the remaining 12 spots filled through last chance races.  Both the MSCCS and SUPR will receive two provisional starting positions with a maximum of 24 cars starting.  The feature race will be 40-laps and will pay $2,000 to win and $300 to start.

The O'Reilly SUPR Late Models will then head south to Pike County Speedway on Saturday night, June 10th for a SUPR-only show with the standard SUPR format of heat races with passing points, last chance races and a 50-lap feature paying $2,500 to win and $400 to start.  For more information contact Greg Holmes at 225-275-5040.
