Anderson was dominant in the late-model victory, leading all 40 laps of the the SUPR “A” feature for the $3,000 first prize. Allen Tippen, of Minden, La., was second and Wendell Wallace, of Batesville, Ark., took third.
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series veteran Ken Schrader, who advanced to the feature by finishing second in a last-chance qualifier, finished eighth in the 22-car field after a spin on Lap 8 relegated him to the rear of the field.
Virden was equally as dominant as Anderson in the Modified Championship, leading all 30 laps to earn the $3,000 first prize. Heath Davenport, of Yedville, Ark., finished second and Chad Wheeler, of Muskogee, Okla., was third.
The Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Championship established new event entry record for a second consecutive night with 268 entrants, including 212 in the modified division, from 12 states.
