Billy Collett defends the Home Turf as the O'Reilly SUPR Modifieds pay  first visit to Mississippi!

Jackson, Mississippi (March 10, 2007) - The O'Reilly SUPR Modifieds took the center stage this weekend with a familiar face in UMP Modified action, Billy Collett taking home the first prize money.  Collett would take the lead on lap 3 when the Race Worx Custom Graphics Top Qualifier Ronn Tubbs spun while leading.  Tubbs would collect first race winner Greg Hollingsworth in the process handing the lead to Collett.  Collett would lead the the rest of the race to take the win but not without a late challenge from Dennis Duncan who worked his way up from 11th to battle or the lead in the closing laps.  Collett was up to the challenge finishing ahead of Duncan and Michael Blount.

Tommy Cannon finished fourth ahead of the Kapco Hard Charger, Mark Hebert, who started 16th and worked his way to fifth.  Hollingsworth would recover from the early spin to finish sixth and strengthened his hold on the lead in the battle for the Inaugural O'Reilly SUPR Modified Championship.

Ronn Tubbs, David Butler and Billy Collett set the early pace winning the heat races to set the field for the feature.

The O'Reilly SUPR Modifieds will return to action on Friday Night, March 23rd when they join the O'Reilly SUPR Late Models vs. World of Outlaw 360 OTC Late Models show at Baton Rouge Raceway.  The series will then return to action on Saturday night, April 7th at South Mississippi Speedway a proud sponsor of the 2007 SUPR modifieds,  visit South Mississippi Speedway at www.south mississippispeedway.com.
