Prince Fastest at Fast Trax!

Chatham, Louisiana--May 26th.  Sibley , Louisiana 's Jody Prince scored his fifth career SUPR Late Model in the Mike Lowe Race Cars/Keith Craft Racing Engines/J&J Motorsports/Ben Haddox Racing GRT at Billy and Sandra Bagwell's Fast Trax Speedway.

Prince was the top qualifier and started the 50-lap main event from the pole.  A lap one tangle collected the cars of Patrick Daniel, Heath Culp, Raymond Taylor and eliminated Fast Trax hot shoe Bubba Mullins from the race.  When the field settled down, it was outside pole starter Ryan Plaisance taking the lead with the May 19th winner from Ark-La-Tex Speedway, Kyle Cummings running second, Jason Ingalls, third and Prince back to fourth.  In a bid to make it two-in-a-row, Cummings went inside of Plaisance on lap nine and took over the lead.  Plaisance, Prince, Ingalls and Waylon Morris began a scramble for second.

Prince won that battle second and caught Cummings.  The pair swapped the lead around on laps 13 and 14.  When the second caution waved on lap 17 for Jeff Chanler, Cummings still had the top spot with Prince, Plaisance, Ingalls and 18th starting Kenny Merchant now making up the top five.  Two laps after going back green, Prince took the lead back for good even though three more yellows would slow the pace.  The first of those was for current second-place points man and 2006 Fast Trax SUPR winner Allen Tippen on lap 23 while Nicholas Brown brought one out open lap 25.  The only caution past half-way was for a tangle involving Houston Raceway Park winner Robbie Stuart and Taylor who took his second trip to the back on lap 35.

Plaisance passed Cummings for second on the lap 26 restart but could not reel in the high flying Prince.  Ingalls flexed some late race muscle once again and took over third on lap 36.  Cummings faded back to sixth as Morris reentered the top five.  Ingalls passed Plaisance for the runner-up spot with 11 laps remaining and took off after Prince.  He closed the gap but ran out of time as Prince collected his second SUPR Late Model win at Fast Trax.  Plaisance, Merchant and Morris rounded out the top five behind Ingalls.  Cummings was sixth under the white flag lap but faded back to 15th with a flat.  Rob Litton, 19th-starting Ronny Adams, 20th-starting Patrick Daniel, point leader Ray Moore and Howard Wills completed the top ten.

28 O'Reilly Auto Parts SUPR Late Models were on hand.  Heat race wins went to Prince, Ingalls, Plaisance and Cummings.  Moore won the last chance qualifier.
