Focused Ray Moore takes O'Reilly SUPR/AMP Challenge
victory at I-30 Speedway!

Little Rock, Arkansas (June 23, 2007) – Ray Moore has led the O’Reilly SUPR Late Model National Championship Standings since the second race of the season but it took a change of focus to get Moore where he really wants to be and that’s victory lane.  Well Moore found his way their tonight at I-30 Speedway and for the second time in the last six races as he topped night two of the O’Reilly SUPR /AMP Challenge.

Moore is clearly focused on winning his first O’Reilly SUPR Late Model National Championship but it was a subtle change that saw the team focus first on winning and less time focused on chasing points that has seen the wins and strong finishes start pilling up.  Moore started 18th tonight after getting penalized in his heat race for contact with another car.  Moore started the last chance from the rear and worked his way to second behind winner Bill Frye to start 18th in the feature.

In the feature it was pole sitter Ronny Adams who set the pace from the start and Adams was strong early as he ran the bottom of the track to perfection.  And while Adams set the pace up front, Moore’s race started off on a down note and he got tangled with Keith Craft and took a hard lick that dented his rear wheel cover and the crew was concerned that there might be more damage on the car.  As the race went back green those concerns went away and Moore started wheeling the Moore Wireline/Bayou Swabbing/ Tools International/Stuckey Enterprises/J&J Motorsports/Advanced Racing Suspension Jay Dickens-powered Chevrolet Monte Carlo MasterSbilt toward the front.  And while Adams was running the low side, Moore was able to run top and bottom on the Little Rock ¼ mile and he made steady progress to the front eventually catching and passing Adams on lap 36.

Moore would pull clear to claim the win, the 7th of his career while Adams would hold off Howard Willis with last night’s winner Kenny Merchant coming home fourth while Lee Davis rounded out the top five.

28 O’Reilly SUPR and AMP Late Models were on hand tonight.  Ronny Adams, Kenny Merchant and Ryan Plaisance won the heat races while Bill Frye topped the last chance race.
