Jody Prince lands Champion Park victory on dq!

 

Baton Rouge, Louisiana (July 1, 2007) - Jody Prince raced from 17th to second and then gained one position after checkers waved as initial winner Ray Moore was disqualified in a post race inspection. 

 

The win was the second of the season for the former O'Reilly SUPR Late Model Rookie of the Year and the sixth of his career.  Prince was at the wheel of the Mike Lowe Race Cars/Keith Craft Racing Engines/J&J Motorsports/Ben Haddox Racing GRT.

 

Prince's run was overshadowed by Moore's equally impressive run around the outside groove.  Moore started 19th and raced to the apparent win.  Moore was disqualified for illegal modifications to his SUPR spec motor.  More details to follow.
