Ronny Adams tackles tough competition for 32nd victory!

Chatham, Louisiana (September 1, 2007) – Ronny Adams has been winning races on the O’Reilly SUPR tour since the very first year the series began in 1990 and he’s still winning in 2007.  Tonight the Louisiana racing legend topped a 38-car at Fast Trax Speedway, scene of his second series win back in 1993 and scene of his now 32nd victory.  Adams started on the outside pole with Allen Tippen on his inside.  Tippen would grab the lead at the start but Adams was right on his heals taking the point on lap three.  And while he led the remaining 47 laps, he did so only after a spirited battle with Tippen over the top spot that lasted several laps.

Jody Prince would move to second on lap 20 and he tried to reel in Adams.  Adams read the racing surface correctly and changed his line from the highside to the bottom groove for the second half of the race and he was able to keep Prince at bay, surviving a last lap challenge that saw the pair get together but the cagey veteran was up to the task and held on for the win in his C. Wrights Machine & Tool/All Pro Bumper to Bumper/Nealy & Associates Pontiac Grand Prix.

Allen Tippen would hold on to third behind Prince with Lee Davis and Ryan Plaisance rounding out the top five.  Jason Ingalls, Garrett Durrett, Howard Willis, Rob Litton and Bubba Mullins rounded out the top 10.

Heat races kicked off the action with Lee Davis, Robbie Stuart, Allen Tippen, Jody Prince and Ronny Adams taking the wins followed by last chance wins by Ray Moore and Raymond Taylor.
