Rob Litton rumbles to victory at Houston Raceway Park!

Baytown, Texas (September 8, 2007) – Rob Litton likes the big shows in Texas, having laid claim to the 2006 Pro-Cuts Texas World Dirt Track Championships and the 2005 edition of the Longhorn Rumble at Houston Raceway Park.  Well tonight he did it again overcoming a dogfight of a race to win the 6th Annual Longhorn Rumble over a strong field of 30 O’Reilly SUPR Late Models.

Litton grabbed the lead at the start of the race from top qualifier Marlon Wild and led the first 17 laps by running the outside line in his open motored mount.  But he was not alone as a whole pack of cars were up front jockeying for position including Ray Moore, David Breazeale, Jason Ingalls and Marlon Wild.  But it was local favorite Howard Willis, who started 14th in the feature that would find his way to the front.  Willis elected to run the bottom and he was able to work his way to the front while the others battled for position, going three –wide in pursuit.

Moore would hit a ute tire and drop out while Breazeale would cut down a tire with two to go but the others would remain in the battle for the lead.  In the end it was Litton who would make a second charge around the outside to reclaim the lead on lap 45 and he would hold off Willis to take the win.  Jason Ingalls would finish third followed by Doug Begnaud in a crate motored car, Ryan Plaisance, Lee Davis, Kyle Cummings, Richard Mills from the rear, Allen Tippen and Scott Creel rounding out the top 10.
